Khalisha Hope Charitable Organisation Officially Launched in the UK

Official launch of Khalisha Hope

Bringing together supporters, friends, and well-wishers.

On Saturday, 23rd August 2025, Khalisha Hope Charitable Organisation celebrated its official launch with a memorable fundraising event in the UK, which brought together supporters, friends, and well-wishers. It was truly an unforgettable night filled with love, unity, and purpose. Our MC beautifully hosted the evening, Mr. Collins Archie-Pearce, a renowned film producer, director, and actor, who brought style, energy, and professionalism to the event. His wife, Mrs. Juliet Archie-Pearce, proudly introduced him.

The programme reflected our nation’s diversity, beginning with prayers from both faiths: Mr. Mbroy led the Muslim prayer, and Mrs. Isatu Bangura led the Christian prayer.

Evening highlights

Highlights of the evening included live entertainment by Sierra Leonean UK-based artists Isha Cee and Mr Royal G-BO-K, a raffle draw, and heartfelt speeches. CEO Isatu Kamara shared the vision and purpose of Khalisha Hope, and why it was founded to bring hope, support and opportunities to the less privileged. A touching moment of the evening was when Mr Brima Bangura paid a tribute to his late father, Dr. Sheikh Sulaiman Hamid Kamara, the inspiration behind the organisation.

Several distinguished speakers graced the event:

  • Mr. J.S. Momoh, a respected community leader, highlighted the vital role charities play in uplifting society.
  • The CEO of Ladies At Work, Mariatu Sesay, celebrated our initiative and encouraged more community champions to make positive change in our society because we’re all community champions.
  • Mr. Umar Kabia, a respected community legend, reminded us that while starting a charitable organisation is essential, perseverance and consistency are key to overcoming the many challenges ahead.
  • Miss. Hawanatu Becky Kamara, a dear friend, shared her joy in seeing what was once just a dream now become a reality.

A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony marked the celebration, followed by an unveiling led by Mrs. Kay Sheriff Kabia and Mrs. Josephine Marah, making the night truly unforgettable. The evening closed with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from one of our trustees, Mr. Shebora Kamara, who expressed gratitude to everyone who supported this milestone event.

We are deeply thankful to all our supporters, partners, and friends who made this launch such a success. This is just the beginning of a journey of hope, service, and impact. Together, we will continue to make a positive impact on lives.
